Blanche Lincoln is a Blue Dog Democrat

We have all seen the TV ads and heard all the garbage about Senator Blanche Lincoln. It has gotten to the point to where a very good person and a not too shabby Senator has been made a villain by a guy and his liberal buddies. Let's be very clear about who we have to choose for Senate.

Blanche Lincoln has served with honor in the Senate for two terms. She looks, sounds and VOTES like an Arkansas democrat. I know that makes so called democrats in places like California, Massachusetts and New York upset and they call her a non-democrat.

But she is not their kind of democrat, she is a Blue Dog Democrat that is proud of her heritage and her home state. While in the Senate, she has worked her way up to where now she is the chairman of the very powerful U.S. Senate Agriculture Committee.

Folks, agriculture is the #1 industry in our state and accounts for a ton of jobs. If you don't think she has done a good job for farmer and ranchers, then ask yourself why all the Ag groups are supporting her instead of the others! She has already used her position to help those of us right here at home since becoming Senate Ag Committee chair.

The federal government was about to shut us all of Wolf Pen Gap and not only did she stop that from happening but she brought the head honcho forestry guy down here from Washington, D.C. to see for himself! (See April issues of the Glenwood Herald.) It's easy to talk and make promises about this, that or the other. But it is leadership that counts and courage that counts when you are in the Senate and not on the stump trying to trick and lie your way into office.

For the life of me I don't see how any Arkansas voter with a conscience would vote against Blanche Lincoln.
